Equal Futures works with people who have a learning disability to be more involved in their local community and to make lasting friendships. We believe that having choices in what you do is a life lived well. Community Connectors help to make this happen by building a Circle of friends around the person with disabilities. If you are able to build relationships with diverse groups of people, can bring fresh ideas and have a good knowledge of your local community, we want to hear from you.

Community Connectors £11 per hour Flexible working hours
What we offer you • Sessional work, about 4 hours a month, times flexible, an hourly rate of £11  • Full induction with training manual  • Ongoing support and supervision  Our Community Connectors come from all walks of life and different age groups.  This is not like other jobs – you will make a real difference to someone’s life!  PVG membership is required which we will pay for.

This role is to help a man build his Circle of Friends in the Perth area. He tells us: The difference this would make to my life is considerable. I would like you to help me with making new friends and to have a more active social life.  I like to go the theatre.  I really enjoy listening to popular music and going to see tribute bands. I like to go to “Willows” in Perth for a coffee or bite to eat.  I enjoy watching most sports.  I’m a St Johnstone fan and go to matches when I can.
