Community Connectors

Are you a natural connector – the sort of person who can build bridges between people and ensure they feel welcomed and included? Do you have close connections with your community? If the answer to these questions is yes then you may be interested in becoming a Community Connector and helping a disabled person and their family to  build a circle of support.

The Community Connector is a key role in building and maintaining a Circle of Support. Community Connectors build relationships, create opportunities, invite people in, facilitate meetings and stay in touch with people.

The recruitment and matching of Community Connectors to families is an ongoing process. It's important that the right match is made. A Community Connector will be matched to an individual or family based on several different criteria: they will live locally to the individual, they will be an active member of the local community, they will share similar interests to the individual, and essentially they will get on well with the person at the centre of the circle and their family.

The recruitment of Community Connectors is an ongoing process. We are regularly matching prospective Community Connectors to families who have become newmembers of Equal Futures.
